The ring is available in a number of colours as follows...orange, light pink, dark green, white, yellow and clear. You can request a colour or take a lucky dip. Due to the nature of the materials used (collected offcuts) the size and thickness of the rings may vary slightly so it is a ‘one size fits most’ deal. The coloured pieces are very limited so if you really want a colour it might pay to let me know your 1st, 2nd or even 3rd choices and I will do my best to get you the one you want. The clear (transparent) rings have the article about the pacific garbage patch that is featured on the ‘pacific garbage patch’ page etched into the rings surface, this makes them even better tools for spreading the word about rubbish and reducing the amount of it we produce.
With every ring purchased you also receive a free button that is intended to be used to repair something that is broken so that it can be saved from waste or it could sewn somewhere where it will act as an extra reminder for you to be conscious of your contribution to waste.
Each ring costs a minimum donation of $20 but feel free to donate more if you want...we don’t mind if you are feeling super generous towards this awesome cause.
Just a few wee things you need to do next...
1)1) Visit the Donation page.
2) Select Nicola Macklin as the team member you wish to nominate.
2)3) In the message section, fill in the colour and quantity of rings that you require.
3)4) Fill in the postal address section (make sure that you leave the box selected that lets me know your details).
4)Thats it!...
Once you have completed all that tricky technical stuff all you need to do is sit by the mail box and wait for your rings to arrive. Please allow 7-10 working days for the postie to get to where you are (more if you live out of Australia)
...maybe don’t sit by the mail box the whole time, unless you have a really comfy chair and loads of water to drink!
Be sure to wear your ring as much as you can, so it can do its job and remind to you to be less wasteful, while also reminding you to spread the word about the dire state of our oceans. The more awareness that is created about this major issue, the more that can be done to work at preventing it getting worse... every little bit counts so help spread the word!
Thanks for your donation!
